Gift Certificate for a Two Hour Glass Blowing Class 2 people
This is a two hour glass class for you and friend. Give the gift of learning and exploration. Your also will giving back to the arts. You will learn the tools and techniques used to create a glass paper weight, glass flower, glass heart and possibly a glass cup. All items made in the class will be yours. All materials are included. All you pay for is the cost of the gift certificate.
All gift certificates will come with a customized letter from the studio inviting them to schedule your class listed below in the link.

This is used for adding additional people to any of the other classes. So if you want to add a friend you would purchase the class as well as this Additional Person product.
Basic Offhand Glassblowing
Includes 5 classes and can redeem on your choosing.
Hands-on instruction in the basics of blown glass and glass sculpting:
vocabulary, introduction to use of tools and equipment, properties of the glass medium; techniques for manipulating hot glass to achieve desired results.
Classes will be small with supportive and personalized
instruction in a team environment.
In each session students will learn how to safely work with molten glass,
gather glass from the furnace, apply color, blow out and/or sculpt and
Examples of objects that we will make: paperweights, marbles, vessel
forms (cups/vases/bowls/plates). Each student will take home several objects
that they have made themselves over the 5 sessions. Students will leave the
class with new ideas, techniques, and concepts for further work in glass.
These 2+ hr sessions are available on a drop-in basis with advance purchase of 5-class card. Ongoing classes will meet Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday evenings; each class will be structured in a way that that doesn’t require sequential attendance. In other words, students can come on any five Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Class card expires after one year.

Intro to Caneworking
In this course, students will be introduced to the art of working with cane. Each student will learn about the processes used to make a variety of glass cane styles and how to incorporate them into solid and blown forms.
We will begin by creating the simplest single-color core cane, and then move on to more complex cane styles. Students are encouraged to bring their own designs. Some glassblowing experience is required.
Bead making class.
In this two hour session you will be shown the process of making a glass bead. You and a friend can enjoy time together learning to make a glass bead. The preparing of the mandrel and wrapping the hot glass around. This is a fun exercise and it looks easier than it is.
You will be able to pick your own colors from an assortment. You will be able to take the beads made that same day.
What to bring: Water and Sunglasses (provided if you forget to bring them)
What to wear: Cotton based clothing. It can get hot in the studio so layers. Closed toed shoes.
